Customer Review: A must have for Le Creuset skillets

I love cooking with cast iron, and am slowly switching all of my cookware over. When I first purchased a Le Creuset skillet, it was awkward to maneuver it because of how hot the handle would get. I debated the need for this tool for weeks, and finally gave in an ordered one after accidentally burning myself when I grabbed the skillet handle without a potholder. Since purchasing this tool, I've avoided accidental burns and have had a much easier time moving my skillet around during cooking. I haven't had any of the splitting issues reported by other reviewers, and I also use a gas range. I've used this tool for about 5 months with no discoloration, melting, or splitting.
