I bought it for my daughter as a gift, and unfortunately, some day I'll have to give it back to her, when she moves out of the dorm and gets her own apartment.Meanwhile, it's a great casserole. I'll probably buy one for myself when she claims it.

This is a great starter piece (also my first Le Creuset) for those who don't know the line.It's a two quart, but just perfect for a one-pot dinner for two. Cleanup is easy, you have to remember to heat it up on the stovetop before you cook in it.
I love it. The red color is beautiful, too.

Of all the 2 quart Le Creuset specialty pieces (pumpkin, tomato, etc.) this was the one that caught my eye. I resisted it several times at a nearby Le Creuset shop, but when they discounted it so that the price was about what I'd pay on Amazon, I gave in. I only wish I would have bought it sooner. Unless your kitchen is totally austere and devoid of all decor, this is one piece you will want to keep out at all times. You cannot look at it without smiling and just feeling good. As far as actually using it, it has all the wonderful qualities for which Le Creuset is so well-known. Whether on the stove or in the oven, you'll love the even heating and the smooth enamel finish. When it's time to serve on the table, it becomes a conversation piece as well. At 2 quarts, it's a great size for small recipes. Clean up is fast and easy.
So, beauty and function in a quality piece of cookware, and all for a reasonable price. What more could one ask for?

This casserole was my first LeCrueset and it is so wonderful, it prompted me to buy 4 more in varying sizes. Cooking performance was great on both the stovetop and in the oven. I liked the heavy lid that fit well and kept mess out of the oven. The finish was completely "non-stick," in the sense of the easiest clean-up ever. All I can ask is why could I not have discovered this cookware 10 years sooner? (Of course, I could not afford it then!) Let's just hope Amazon keeps offering nice discounts on this line. Also, the heart shape and color is adorable. I can't wait to use it for a romantic dinner! It is so pretty that my one and only tiny complaint is that there are no loops in the handles to hand it from my pot rack where everyone can see it - Oh Well!!Customer Review: heart casserole
