This heart casserole was used on Valentine's Day (of course) to make scalloped potatoes. The potatoes turned out great, and the casserole was the perfect finishing touch. Le Creuset makes some great stuff, and this is no exception. Wimps beware: This casserole is heavy! It also keeps its heat very well, so be careful when you get take it out of the oven!
Even if you don't cook much (like me), you'll enjoy looking at this casserole. I bought it during a special promotion time and got a free heart-shaped Le Creuset ramekin.

Not only is this striking heart-shaped casserole whimisical and fun, it's an absolute delight to use. Distributes heat evenly for thorough cooking, retains heat to keep your casserole at an optimum temperature and the non-stick surface couldn't make clean-up easier! I love everything about it - the shape, the color, and the fact that form and function work in tandem to make it more than just another fine looking piece of cookware. It gets used often in my house, thus saving it from the fate of so many other pots and pans that make their way to the back of a cupboard, never again to see the light of day!I love it. I can't say it enough. Expensive, but worth it. I can't wait until I can afford to buy more of Le Creuset's products!

I simply adore this casserole. I'll admit that I bought it for the cute shape and color, but it has been a terrific addition to my VERY SMALL kitchen. I do not let new gadgets in easily since I know I will have to find a place to put it and that takes some finagelling. I like the two handles- the piece is very heavy- I can't imagine what it would be like to lift a full 6.5 quart. Yikes! I am pleasently surprised with how easily it cleans up. My first cooking project in the casserole was a roasted veggie and chese recipe. I suateed the onions and garlic in evoo on the stove, roasted the veggies in the oven, then took the lid off and blasted the cheese topping with the broiler until brown and melty- all in the same pan!
This is such an adorable gift. I highly recommend this product.
